Newport CH International LLC is an international trading company focused on the purchasing and direct export sale of wastepaper for the recycling industry. Newport CH is also an export shipper of scrap steel and plastic to various countries in Asia. Newport CH is comprised of people with diversified skills and talents that cover many aspects of the commodity trading and export logistics businesses. Our members have a combined experience of over 50 years in the wastepaper business.
Newport CH was formed in 2003 through a partnership with Canusa Hershman Recycling Company, with headquarters in Connecticut and Maryland. Canusa Hershman operates 8 partnership recycling and processing facilities on the east coast.
Over 90,000 tons per month of wastepaper is handled through Canusa Hershman and Newport CH, with many of the tons coming from contracted tonnage and company owned processing facilities. Half of these tons are shipped into the export market.
