Partly as a joke, I found a use for my Twitter Account and re-titled it "California Meltdown Watch" and started posting links to the mostly bad news about our government and economy.  Since I get tons of feeds related to California business, government and economy anyway, this was really very easy to do, and people are signing up to follow it at a fairly good clip.  What I didn't realize, however, it the affect this would have on me - it has gotten me seriously depressed!  Regardless of where you are on the political spectrum, I'll bet everyone agrees that our government has become seriously dysfunctional.  Those idiots can't even make a budget! - nor do they have any foresight - the one thing we can reasonably expect our government to have.  I can tell you with absolute certainty that the State government will never again have any significant involvement in international business or trade - with the possible exception of junkets, which they naturally love.

Sorry about the rant, but I think we are better than this.   California is supposed to be "the land of opportunity" - that is what brought many of us here and is the reason we stay.  The private sector is hurting also, but somehow business - even small business,  is going to have to step up to the plate and save this great State.  The twitter, "California Meltdown Watch" can be found at this link:  www.twitter.com/CALTRADE
